This artwork represents the journey from one Country to another, from Cardwell to Cairns, Second Beach, Yarrabah and finally the Cape. Growing up, we travelled often to visit our traditional places. While our Elders took care of our people’s business, us kids explored; finding swimming holes, playing on the beach and making memories on Country.

As a child I was full of wonder and loved looking at all of the beautiful things in nature and all of the colours around me. I spent many evenings watching the sunset in total silence, marvelling at the vibrant colours lighting up the land and the sky.
