Brushstrokes of My Life
This collection is a culmination of months of painting, of getting all of my memories, thoughts, and feelings out onto canvas. It is a reflection of my childhood, as a young blak girl growing up in the bush, to now, as a young blak woman finding her way in this chaotic, strange new world.
Each piece is different, though all are connected as they come from deep within me. There is no set theme, but rather this collection is a physical manifestation of some of my dearest reflections and memories, however random they may be.
You'll find themes of the bush, the land, and the ocean, as well as themes exploring femininity and youth. Most importantly these pieces aim to find joy in the mundane, because life without joy is a dull life indeed.
