Wayimu in the Tropics

When I was growing up we’d play in the bush and smell the flowers that were growing there. If we saw a Ulysses butterfly, we’d stop everything we were doing and stare up at them in awe. Their bright blue wings shone in the sky and it was one of the most beautiful sights you could see as a child. Now whenever I go back home, I long to catch a glimpse of them; even just for a moment.
