The Colours of our Youth

This vibrant, joyful piece is a reflection of my younger days living up on Yidinji Country. A typical day was spent with my siblings running around outside, basking in the sun, and enjoying the warm humid air. We would climb fruit trees and pick the fresh fruit off the branches, before setting off to the beach and digging our toes in the sand. We’d crack oysters on the rocks and fish for Minya, before settling down for a buni (fire) in the evening.
