Sitting on Country

This artwork represents me and my family sitting on the earth and grounding ourselves, connecting back to who we are at our roots. It’s a common practice for me these days to get outside and plant my bare feet in the earth when I am stressed out or overwhelmed and it takes away my stress almost instantly and heals me.

The big circles represent my family and the little circles represent Minya (food/meat). The small brush strokes represent the leaves on the ground and the red background represents the dirt.
