Hibiscus is Flowering

The red hibiscus flower holds a special place in my heart. Growing up these grew in the bush next to our house and sometimes I would pick them for my mum until she told me they were better off growing in the bush where they were meant to be. She could still look at them and recognise their beauty, but they were rightfully left alone. I took that as a lesson and began to care for them as I grew up.

This piece represents growth, femininity, and the grace is takes to be soft and gentle with yourself, with others, and the world around you.
