“Salty skin and warm wind” Is my latest piece about Lockhart and you guessed it -salty skin and warm wind. It sounds kinda funny but whenever I think back, I always think about how windy it would get before the rains would start. Usually during the day it’s humid as all hell and then the breeze would start the closer you got to the beach. Some days it was a cool breeze, on others it was like blowing a heater on you.
Down at the beach I’d sit on the edge of the boat ramp and day dream while the warm wind tousled my curly mane and brushed over my salty skin. It was so warm. It smelled like salt and fish and rain. It was absolute bliss.
