This artwork depicts the landscape at Budgabulla. It represents the wildlife, the trees, the rivers and streams and the cattle and horses that litter the country side. The road to Budgabulla is a steep climb through the range, and sometimes when it rains too heavily you can’t make it through the range pass and you have to turn back.
Growing up we’d take long drives to Budgabulla and I’d read a book or stare out the window of the car while we went on our long trip. I always felt very connected to Cardwell and Budgabulla- it was my second home.
