This painting represents some of the land over Kuku Ya’u country and how it is littered with waterholes and many tracks. During the wet season in February many of the waterholes fill up and overflow, causing the roads to be flooded and access from the town to the main road to be cut off. During this time crocs also flood the creeks and rivers so going near the water is not encouraged.
