This artwork represents mob coming together on Country. The large circles are bonfires and the ‘o’ and ‘I’ shapes represent mob gathering wood and having yarns.
Fire is a symbol of my childhood. Growing up we often had large bonfires as a way to spend time together as a family. We would spend hours catching minya (fish/ meat) earlier in the day and then we’d wrap it in foil and cook it under the fire for dinner.
Acrylic on canvas - artwork is stretched but outer decorative frame is not included.
