Most days during oyster season we’d be down by the beach from sun up to sun down playing, swimming and cracking open oyster rocks to have a snack. The oyster rocks were sharp and painful to walk on but we’d been doing it for so long that our feet became desensitised and we could walk around the bush with no shoes on. I vividly remember the shapes of the oysters. They were funny looking but their colours were nice. I remember the smell of the salty air and the feel of the sand between my toes.
I’m just amazed by the print, I love the print. It’s so beautiful. I gave it to my partner for Christmas and they adored it as I expected. I’ve followed mulganai for a while and admire all of the artwork, such amazing work.
